Vilma Night Light, Wood and Acrylic Animal, USB, Ten Designs

A small glow by the bed keeps your child's room from going fully dark at night, and here that glow is an animal they can pick out from bed. The Vilma is a flat wooden animal with a clear acrylic panel etched with fine lines, and when it is plugged in the etched part lights up, so the dinosaur's spikes or the cat's tail glow on the shelf.

Each one is cut from wood and acrylic and stands upright on a small wooden foot. Each design stands about 4 to 8 inches tall (10 to 20 cm) and 5 to 8 inches wide (13 to 20 cm), about the size of a paperback book. It runs from a USB plug, so you can power it from a USB charger or a computer port. You can choose from ten designs: dinosaur, cat, pelican, elephant, wolf and moon, penguin, whale, shark, toucan and snail. In each one the lit part is a feature of the animal, such as the elephant's spray of water or the snail's shell. Set it on a nightstand, a bookshelf or a nursery dresser where your child can see it from bed, or give one as a gift for a new baby or a birthday.
