Crochet Pumpkin Coasters, Handmade, Set of 4

When you set a mug or glass on your coffee table, you want to keep heat marks and drips off the surface. These crochet pumpkin coasters do that job with a little fall color: each one is crocheted by hand in orange yarn and shaped like a small pumpkin, with a green crochet stem at the top. You get a set of four, all the same pumpkin shape and size, so they lay out evenly on a table.

Each coaster is about 3.9 inches (10 cm) across, wide enough for the base of a standard mug or a glass. Keep them on the coffee table, by your desk, or lay them out with a fall table setting, one at each place. When one needs cleaning, hand wash it in warm water and lay it flat to dry, so it keeps its round shape. The orange yarn and green stems give your table a small seasonal detail, and you can put the set away with the rest of your fall decor when the season ends.
